Fumio Miyashita’s professional career began with his participation in the Japanese production of “Hair,” and he soon moved on to composing original work and performing with Kitaro. He plays electronic keyboards in particular rhythmic patterns “to help create a merging of the inner and outer universe within the individual.” And it is effective. Fumio’s music has been tested on plants: cucumbers are seen to grow significantly sweeter when gardened to sound, and the yeast used to produce Sake grows uniformly and abundantly.
