This album highlights the vibratory effects of crystal bowls played by music therapist Derk Mulder. Of eight works of approximately seven minutes each, the first seven stimulate and balance one chakra at a time, while the eighth returns the listener to a state of wholeness. For example, the fourth cut, "Anahata," in the scale of F, harmonises with the energy of the heart. "Earth-Link," written for the root chakra, evokes the earthy experience of a sweat lodge with rattles, distant thunder and Native-like flute sounds. This is deeply contemplative music with heartbeat rhythms and trance-inducing wordless vocals. If chakras sang, these are the songs they would choose.
