Alain Eskinasi & Jim Wafer
The creation of Dutch multi-instrumentalist Alain Eskinasi "Brainscapes" is unlike anything he has produced before. Eskinasi is well-known for his founding roles in the African dance band Soto Koto and the jazz-driven 3rd Force trio. "Brainscapes" represents an intense two-year collaborative venture by Eskinasi with African-English healer and yedaki (didgeridoo) player Jim Wafer creating music out of the study of various theories of healing. The rhythm tracks are taken from a brain wave synthesizer, with Eskinasi developing the music based on the Chinese 5 Element Theory (earth, water, fire, wood, & metal) over which Wafer improvises deeply resonating yedaki solos, utilising the full sonic and vibrational properties of the Australian Aboriginal sacred instrument.

Indigenous art form creates a bridge to the world of healing. Music Therapist, percussionist and didjeridu master, Will Seachnasaigh, has lived among the Yolgnu people of Australia's Northwest Territory, studying the ways in which this ancient culture uses music for healing and meditation. The didjeridu, one of the oldest instruments known to humankind, is made from a simple eucalyptus branch hollowed out by termites. The aboriginal Yolgnu are capable of using this haunting horn to put both the player and listener into a deep and meditative healing state. The indigenous musicians who evolved this art used music to create a bridge between the ordinary world and the Dreamtime, a spiritual dimension of being, where the cosmos is given shape and meaning. In the Dreamtime a connection to nature and one's own basic instincts is the source of healing. Each composition on this unique hybrid recording uses didjeridu with specific pitches accompanied by other instrumentation (including Taiko Drums, Water Gongs, Flutes and Fretless Bass) to call forth "musical archetypes" which conjure up the Dreamtime. The tones and rhythms are based upon modern medical understandings about sound's potential for enhancing health and well being.
Nomad
Nomad (otherwise known as Adam Plack) studied the didgeridoo in the bush lands surrounding his home in Melbourne. Nomad is Adam Plack, a white Australian singer/songwriter, remarkable didjeridoo player and multi-instrumentalist. He recorded Songman on Aboriginal tribal lands and enlisted the talents of Aboriginal vocalists David Gulpilil, Bobby Bunnungurr and Jimmy Jidamin. Songman is an entrancing collection of songs about love, ritual and mother nature using contemporary sounds laced with the ancient songs of the Aboriginal Dreamtime.
Ganga Giri
Ganga Giri takes the hypnotic qualities of the didgeridoo and incorporates it with dance grooves that are both organic and synthetic. Astarius uses vocal harmonies to produce more than one tone simultaneously, with the intention to activate multi levels of Healing within the listener. These vocal harmonics consist of a fundamental low tone with higher overtones, which produce a marriage between Spirit and flesh. The low tone links with the material plane, while the higher overtones (as Spirit) soar like winged tones of Ascension. The vocals are accompanied by didgeridoo which also produces overtones creating an ethereal sound environment which enhances healing.
